Check out the highlights of all the action on Day 1A.
As dawn broke over the breathtaking Dominican landscape that surrounds the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, 28 Team Bovada players awoke to a beautiful and serene setting. All of the players from Team Bovada come from all over America, and this week they all share one common goal – to be the last person standing at the end of the 2012 Punta Cana Poker Classic.
After the players had a bit of time to get acclimated and take in some of the spectacular scenery, they put their game faces on and stepped into the heat of the action on Day 1. All together 228 players started on the Day 1A on Saturday and 68 players made it to Day 2, including four Team Bovada players. Team Bovada player Wesley D. is on the 29th position with a stack of 70,000. Here’s how other Team Bovada players are doing:
Bryan S. 48,600 chips
Randall L. 45,500 chips
Mike R. 14,000 chips
Inside the game room of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, the poker tables were busy and full of life. The players’ peaceful morning filled with waves crashing gently on the beach, was quickly replaced with the sounds of cards being shuffled and chips changing hands. With every flop, turn and river card, a player’s wildest dreams could become a reality. These experiences can be triumphant and exhilarating, but also tragic and heart-wrenching.
Here at the Punta Cana Classic, the player’s dreams depend on their wits and cunning and of course, a little help from lady luck never hurt. The atmosphere is exciting and powerful, and the players can feel it in the air. The 28 Team Bovada representatives came prepared and are ready for all of this high-octane action. The scene in the Dominican is buzzing with electricity, and that’s what Day 1 is all about.
Day 1B started today with 139 new entrants, including 10 Team Bovada players. There are 7 new Team Bovada players. Tom C. and Andrew R. bought in again and Ben B. won his seat though a satellite. Good luck all!
