PCPC Day 3 Update

PCPC Day 3 Update

As of last night at about 10:30 PM, The Punta Cana Poker Classic had its November 9.

The excitement in the room was electrifying as the forty-five remaining players sat down at five tables, all in the hopes of taking their place at today’s final table.  Although each and every one of them was already in the money, they wanted more.  They would not be satisfied unless they made it as far as they possibly could.

Chilean poker player Andres Zepeda Herrera led the 45 remaining players at the end of Day 2, but ended up busting in 17th place and cashing $7,842.  Bovada Players did amazingly well with six players in the final 45 to start off the day.  Sadly, they did not all make it to today`s final table, but here is a recap of how they did:

36 - Howard, Jason - $4728
35 - Phillips, Carter -$ 4728
28 - Stolzmann, Steve - $4,991
24 - Sutton, Joseph - $5,704

And now, ladies and gentlemen, here is the Final table for The Punta Cana Poker classic 2013:

Otazo, Leowel- 2,475,000 (Chile)
Chanracy, Khun - 2,360,000 (Canada)
Scott, Derrick - 1,250,000 (USA)
Olvera, Guillermo - 940,000 (Mexico)
Diaz, Gabriel - 885,000 (Peru)
Serda, Patrick - 650,000 (Canada)
Zinno, Anthony - 615,000 (USA)
Iavouelli, Johnathan - 495,000 (USA)
Marshak, Stuart - 195,000 (USA)

That’s right folks:  Bovada has two players on the final table today. Derrick and Jonathan, both playing for Bovada, and more specifically both representing the state of Pennsylvania, had a rollercoaster of a ride yesterday, each having been short-stacked at least once.  However both persistence and spectacular poker play paid off, and they are both taking their seats this afternoon at the final table of the Punta Cana Poker Classic, where the best player will walk away with over $171K in prizing.

Good luck Derrick and Jonathan, and good luck to everyone else at the final table today.
