PCPC Day 2 Update

PCPC Day 2 Update

Day 2 ended with 45 players making it on to Day 3 – Six of which are Bovada’s own: Carter Phillips, Steve Stolzmann, Derrick Scott, Jonathan Iavouelli, Joseph Sutton and Jason Howard

The pressure was high as hands were being played one at a time to determine who would make it to the bubble. Luis Melo ended up being Punta Cana Poker Classic’s bubble boy during the last hand before dinner break, and then they started dropping like flies. One of two ladies left standing dropped, too, leaving just Laurence Grondin in the Main. Here are your bottom five money makers, each having won $3,565:

46 - Fundaro Giacomo
47 – Ana Cristina Marsaglia
48 – Brett Gross
49 – Boliver Palacios
50 – Zachary McGlinn

Just before the bubble, all eyes were on Bovada’s Jason Howard as he went all-in with his short stack and risked becoming this year’s bubble boy.   The silence of the room was deafening.  He won the hand, doubled his stack, and has made it on to Day 3.

Day 3 Starts today with six Bovada players all vying for the final Table.  Carter Phillips, Steve Stolzmann, Derrick Scott, Joseph Sutton, Jonathan Iavouelli, and Jason Howard are all hoping to advance to tomorrow’s final 9.  Jason Howard is still short-stacked with 51K in chips, with the average stack at 220K.

Carter Phillips: 200K
Steve Stolzmann: 172K
Derrick Scott: 122K
Jonathan Iavouelli: 120
Joseph Sutton: 94K

For the first two minutes of Day 3 we are looking at 3000/6000, then the pressure increases as it jumps up to 4000/8000.

Good Luck #TeamBovada !
