PCPC Day 1B Update

Another 10 Levels.  Another 11 Hours.  Another 62 Players Advance to Day 2 to play for their share of $712,950.  With $171,100 going to first place and the top 50 spots getting paid, the electricity in the poker room is out of this world.

When Tournament play resumes at 2 PM today, all eyes will be on Chance Korneck, who holds the chip lead with 325,000. Rounding out the top five are William Valladares (217,800), Patrick Serda (173,500), Leonel Otazo (165,900), and Steve Stolzmann (163,000). 2011 Punta Cana Poker Classic Main Event champion Demo Kiriopolos found himself in the top 5 in Day 1A, but Day 1B performances push him down to 12th place with 141,900.

Bovada is making waves with 22 of the 149 players that made it on to Day 2, four of whom are in the top twenty with these impressive stacks:

Stolzmann, Steve - 163,000
Scott, Derrick - 155,800
Phillips, Carter - 152,300
Silva, Steve - 132,700

Poker players who failed to make it to Day 2 of the event still have plenty of poker options. With the No Limit Hold’em Second Chance tournament, Punta Cana Poker Classic High Roller Event, as well as special cash tables being set up in the room, there is still much poker to be played.

Day 2 kicks off today at 2 PM local time (1 PM ET), with Day 3 scheduled on Friday at 2 PM local time.
